Gylle School is located about four kilometers south of Borlänge city center, with good bus connections to both the center and the countryside. It is a K-9 school with approximately 900 students. With its wide catchment area, Gylle School is one of the largest primary schools in Dalarna. The school consists of several buildings with an associated sports hall and cafeteria. The outdoor environment offers opportunities for various activities, where proximity to green areas, playgrounds, football fields, and an ice rink complements the needs of the operations.

The school building is undergoing significant changes, as the construction for the school of the future is in full swing. With a continued strive to be Dalarna's largest primary school, part of that process is that we will develop the K-6 unit into a four-parallel operation.

About 75 people work in the K-6 unit. Our staff groups are characterized by commitment and participation. We have strong teams with high qualifications organized by grade levels. We are in an exciting development phase where the main focus is to develop students' digital skills while continuing our important work as a reading school, for increased goal fulfillment in all subjects.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We need to strengthen our teaching team with a teacher for grade 3 for the remainder of the spring term. The position involves mentorship, planning, teaching, evaluation, and assessment as well as value-based work around safety and study peace, all based on Lgr22. All work is done both independently and in collaboration with colleagues in grade teams and working groups. Frequent contact with guardians, school management, and colleagues is an important part of the job, and sometimes also contact with other authorities the school collaborates with.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license with the qualification to teach in grades K-3 or K-6 with subject qualifications in combination, preferably in English and/or Swedish. Qualification in and experience of other subjects is meritorious. Very good oral and written skills in Swedish and good skills in English are required; knowledge of other languages is meritorious.

We would like you to have experience working as a classroom teacher in the lower grades. If you have knowledge and experience in, for example, special education, digital learning resources, language-developing methods, students in need of special support, and other pedagogical training such as NTA, low-affective approach, etc., it is meritorious, as well as a B driver's license.

You have good pedagogical insight and are results-oriented. You start from each student's needs and conditions. You are a clear leader in the classroom and a positive role model for the students. You appreciate developing and improving the operations together with your colleagues and solving problems in everyday school life. You have good collaboration skills, see the importance of building good relationships, and understand the important role of playground supervision.
